Climate Change and Health

Drastic changes in climate around the globe are a dreadful reality that we choose to ignore as we are ignorant of the depth and impact of it on our daily life and health. Social and environmental elements of health, such as clean air, safe drinking water, sufficient food, and secure shelter, won’t be sufficiently available for future generations if the present situations prevail without a solution to rectify our errors. Everything produced for human society on an industrial basis directly or indirectly causes harm to nature and has resulted in the extinction of many species of plants and animals. The international community of health professionals has already started addressing the eminent health threats from extreme climate change. Human-induced global warming is also at its peak. Improving immunity is the only solution to these imminent health hazards.

The abrupt social impacts of climate change will directly affect the psychological and physical health of the human race around the globe. Though the effect of impact may vary according to the resilience of the populations demographically, the threat is factual and forthcoming. Organic farming and adapting to renewable energy are relevant among the valid solutions suggested by the experts to reduce the green gas emission and pollution. Organic agriculture will bring significant improvement in the ecological equilibrium as it is the agricultural industry that causes more harm to nature with the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and industrial processing facilities. The chemical-infused agricultural practices cause contamination of the water bodies and, ultimately, the sea. The well-being and existence of humans greatly depend on transformational actions that will reduce pollution and avoid triggering irreversible climate changes.
